Advance level Training on ETP/STP Design, Operation & Maintenance &
Water Reuse-Recycling & Zero Liquid Discharge (ZLD)
The event is organized by Corptive Research Pvt. Ltd. traditionally consists of two days of training sessions that explore
next generation issues in the field of water and waste water featuring well-known industry leaders.
Water is a key resource for a satisfying sustenance of good quality life on this earth. The realization that the focus on drinking water and sanitation without due attention being paid to the end products of water and sanitation provision (i.e. wastewater) has exacerbated some of the water quality problems seen globally. It is increasingly being recognized that the issues of wastewater management and water quality have cross linkages with a range of other water and non-water issues, not least in respect of the water, energy and food nexus. It has also been acknowledged that wastewater management clearly plays a role in achieving future water security in our states where water stress is increasing day by day. Against this backdrop there is an emerging consensus on the need for a dedicated National Wastewater Management Strategy which includes explicit recognition of the importance of recycling water and successful management of wastewater that is produced from residential areas, industrial wastewater, and other sources.
Water and Wastewater treatment and management, strategies and technologies are currently undergoing rapid development. The discharge standards of solid and liquid waste are becoming increasingly stringent; therefore, we must seek for new feasible and effective treatment technologies and methods.
Although non-indigenous wastewater treatment technologies are becoming more known in India, very less is being discussed and understood about their applicability in the Indian context. There is a need for the decision makers to understand the basics of wastewater treatment technologies and the criterion to select the appropriate technology based on the local conditions. Choosing appropriate technology is not only necessary to get higher efficiency of treatment but to get consistent results in longer term in lesser cost. The appropriate technology should be economical not only in terms of its capital cost but also its operation and maintenance cost.
This two day workshop will focus on the basics, design, case studies of selected installations, video presentations and thereby equip the participant with a knowledge base that will help them understand and be confidant in tackling the situation on hand when they get back to their positions to refine the existing practices and institute best management practices. This will also be a window to the participant to be informed about the latest developments in treatment technologies. The significant aspect of this non-traditional workshop will be a radically different approach of building up the skills of delegates towards the topic. The training is aimed for designers & professionals with background of STP & ETP and practicing professionals in charge of project formulation.
